Karaoke, Baby!

Hello everyone! And welcome to my first ever...

Karaoke Ring of Death!

(Death... death... death...)

A bunch of us bloggers over at 20-Something Bloggers decided to have a big ol' karaoke party. This isn't the first round of play, but I just found out and couldn't wait to join!

Every blogger was welcome to send in a video if they wanted and it would be pa

This month's karaoke theme was drinking songs and alcohol in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

And I am so pleased to be the one posting the lovely Shelly's video. She is so stinkin' cute!

Isn't she a doll? I'm in love with her hair and her quirkiness. Go check out her blog.

I want you guys to go and check out my songs as well! I'm over at David's Blog and I sing some pretty wicked awesome karaoke! Go check it out and be sure to follow the ring and see everyone's videos!

Alone Time

I think I am addicted to taking pictures.

Alyson, her friend Jamey and I went to The Macaroni Grill for lunch. Oh man. This place gave me pasta shock real bad. The raspberry lemonade was awesome. And I LOVE that you can draw on the table while you are waiting.

I got the Mama's Trio. Lasagna al Forno, Chicken Parmigiana with Capellini Pomodoro, and Roasted Chicken Canneloni! Mwah! Eccelente!

I decided to take a solo trip to go see a movie. The sun was setting on the way to the theater and I had to stop and take a picture.

I had to wait quite a while for the movie to start, so I treated myself to one of the best beverages of all time while I waited.

And went to the arcade and freed Butters here from the claw machine. (He's my favorite South Park character.) Look how happy he is to be free!

We were instant best buds. He even went with me to see Beastly!

The movie was good. It was a cute rendition of the classic Beauty and the Beast story. I loved Neil Patrick Harris's character (he was the reason I decided to actually see this movie.) He was awesome. And I couldn't help but think "Suit Up" in the scene where he's getting dressed.

I don't know if I'll ever see the movie again. It was good, but I would have preferred to see Black Swan or even I Am Number Four, but neither were showing when I was there. Oh well. The experience was also diminished by the multitudes of gasping and cooing teenage girls in the audience. "Really?! 'Awww' at that?! It was so cheesy!" Can't help it.

It was better than I expected it to be. But still not my favorite. It was fun to get out and see with Butters though.

Happy Birthday!

Saturday was my sister, Alyson's birthday and we had some good times!

One of her old friends is here visiting for the weekend, and Jamey, Aly and I all went out to lunch and to the strip to explore.

Then it was back to the house for some German Chocolate Cake (made by me!) and a shower of balloons from the balcony. It was awesome!

Happy Birthday Aly! I hope it was as fun for you as it was for me!

Best Of Sunday 2

Earlier this week, I was watching some of my old YouTube videos. I haven't made a video for my channel in over a year. This saddens me. It used to be one of my favorite things to do.

But as I was watching my super humiliating videos, I knew instantly that I wanted to post a few for this week's "Best Of Sunday."

I hope you all enjoy my lack of self respect.

Good times. Gotta love random videos. I should get back into it. Pull out the old green screen again.

Friday Night

So. It's Friday night. You're in a new city and have no friends. You're broke. Your sister/roommate has plans and you don't know what to do with yourself.

Sound familiar?

There is now a solution!

Head on over to your local Walmart and create the most hideous outfit you can and make it rock! (In the dressing room of course!)

(The mirror was really warped and made all my photos look blurry. Aw man!)

Here's a challenge for all of you who have lost weight. Go find your old size and try it on! (Find a really ugly shirt. It just makes it more fun!)

Fun option. Try on lingerie. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of my own escapades down that road. But it made me feel really giggly and hot!

And just because there's always that one item you can't resist trying on even though you can't afford to buy it right now. You're just happy knowing that it would have looked so awesome when out on the town.

I want this raincoat. So badly. It makes me die a little inside when I realize it's not in my closet.

It was a good night.

What do YOU do when you have no plans, no friends, no dollars and nowhere to go on a Friday night?

Today...

...I woke up with a smile on my face.

...I read a few chapters of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

...I laughed until I cried at old memories.

...I enjoyed a breakfast of leftover chicken enchiladas with my sister.

...I replayed some Peggle levels while watching Pushing Daisies.

...I took a shower and now I smell lovely.

...I got all dressed up and put on my red heels and went out for half an hour.

...I watched the latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars and Glee while eating Yogurtland New York Cheesecake yogurt with kiwi. The best!

It's been a good day.

I have people who love me.

I have good food and entertainment.

And YESTERDAY...

...I got a job interview! Stay tuned on Monday and I'll tell you all about it!

February!

Highlights!

- 2nd: Packed up all of my belongings into a trailer -
- 3rd: Drove nine hours and moved to Las Vegas! -
- 4th: Unpacked the trailer, and parents, Aly and I went to Red Robin for dinner! -
- 5th: Spent the day beginning the long process of organizing my new room and went to dinner at On the Border with the family! -
- 6th: Mom and dad left me here in Vegas. I did some more unpacking to distract myself from sadness and worry. Later got dressed up in Black and Yellow and watched the Super Bowl. Was kind of sad that the Steelers lost. But good game Green Bay!
- 7th: Got lost in Las Vegas trying to find a post office. It was pretty funny! I also made Idaho Potato Delight! Best ever! (I'll get you guys the recipe sometime!)
- 9th: I got a brand new phone!
- 11th: I went with Aly to the UNLV campus to hang out while she was in class. Then we went to Fashionshow Mall on the strip and she made me go to get Sushi. We were both disappointed.
- 13th: I made spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner! Gotta say it was pretty scrumptious!
- 14th: Happy Valentine's Day! It was the first Valentine's day I've ever had with a boyfriend. We spent some time chatting on Skype and it was a pretty good date. I got a card and flowers from two of my sisters, and sent out a bunch of Valentine's to all of my family and a few friends. It was a good day. -

- 18th-20th: Aly had friends over for her friend's Bachelorette Party. The house was crazy and filled with giggles most of the time and made it hard for me to sleep, but I got quite a few laughs out of the deal. -
- 23rd: I made dinner again. Taco Soup! So good!
- 27th: Fajitas! I'm so loving it! Mmm!

Happiest Moment: Oh man. So many funny moments. But I think any moment I realized that I'm here and doing my best has been really happy!

Saddest Moment: Leaving home. It was SO hard to do.

Books Read:
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: So good. It's my favorite book of the series. I love it! -
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: I've read all of these books so many times, and it never ceases to amaze me how fun they are to read and how easy it is to get sucked into the story! -

New Movies Watched:
- Megamind: Aly wanted me to watch it with her. Very funny movie. I enjoyed it immensely!

Favorite Food: Alyson's salad. It's spectacular. A mix of different greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, radishes and chopped up cilantro. It's so tasty!

Overall Impression:
The month was filled with new and scary experiences, but I haven't been this happy in such a long time. I've been feeling so stuck in life recently, and this move was just what I needed. I really need to find a job to make me feel like this is really where I need to be, but I'm so glad I'm here. It's been a good month.
