Sunlight

I'm a night owl by nature. I love being awake all night and sleeping all day.
The problem with this is that I don't get to see much sunlight. I'm like a self proclaimed vampire most days.
And whenever I'm out and about when the sun is up, I'm either too preoccupied to really notice, or walking around like a zombie who is craving a nap more than brains.
But on the rare occasions when I actually take the time to appreciate the beauty of sunlight and how it affects the every day things in life, I can't help but sigh at how lovely the day time is.
It's enough to make me want to sleep at night like a normal person.

I've been seeing the 30 Day Photo Meme on blogs all across the blogosphere.
I think it's a fun idea, but I definitely do not have the patience to post for a meme for thirty days.
But Lauren from Busy Bee Lauren just decided to group the entire meme into one post. Great idea right?

Aly is my sister, my friend and my roommate. I love spending time with her and not only because I have to.

It was taken by my wonderful boyfriend and I'm wearing his sunglasses. They look good on me, no?

He is a wonderful kisser.
4. A photo of something that makes you happy
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love the bbq's, the fireworks, the family. It's amazing.
5. An old photo of you
When I was 14, we got makeovers for a church activity. I slept sitting up so I didn't have to take my hair out.

My sisters are beautiful, aren't they?
7. A photo you haven't posted on your blog before
This is the Salt Lake City Library. It's a beautiful building. This picture was taken the day of the Utah Humanities Book festival. One of the best events ever. I was able to interview Shannon Hale that day. It was a great day. And this photo is one of my favorites.
8. A photo of someone you miss
I miss my parents. They are the best parents in the world.
9. A photo of people you know now and then
My three beautiful cousins were my best friends in high school. We spent nearly every weekend together. And even though we all went out separate ways, they are still some of my favorite people.

Red Cloud Loop in the fall. There is nothing better than the yellow and orange trees.

Alyson is one person that I can tell whatever to. It doesn't matter what it is, I can talk to her about it.

I see this sight every day when I leave the house.
13. A photo taken at a place you love
This was taken at my Grandma's house during the adult's Easter Egg Hunt. We have one for the kids, but the adults need one too! Grandma's house is one of the best places in the world.

This is me playing the lead in The Curious Savage. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I was so sad when those three months were over.

It's no surprise. I like frozen yogurt.
16. A photo from one of the best days of your life
Spending three days with Kevin was one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I've never felt happier.
17. A photo that always makes you laugh
There were painted horses in Ogden, UT and my sister and I went to take pictures with them. There was a raptor painted on the side of one of them and I needed to act like a ham.
18. A picture of your spare time
I spend pretty much all of my spare time on my computer. Most of the time is on my blog and there are a bunch of other favorite sites that I have saved at the top of the page, and a myriad of other programs that take up my time.
19. A photo from a great night
My dad and I spent an entire day and well into the night putting Christmas lights up all over the house. This was our favorite part. The grotto. It was such a good night.

My family is everything to me.

My parents got married when they were 22. I will be 22 in a month.

This was my first day in Vegas when I came to visit for 6 weeks last summer. Alyson took me to Red Robin.

This is the cover I created for the first draft novel I wrote in 2009. Finishing that first draft was about the most amazing accomplishment I've ever done.

I've never felt closer to a person who isn't in my family. Kevin is definitely my closest friend.

My niece and nephew were hanging out with me at the mall back in 2006. When we saw a photo booth and they were so excited to try it out.

Every day while preparing for Seven Brides for Seven Brothers performances, Nashelle and I took lots of pictures. I think the goofy looks on our faces are hilarious and I can't look at this picture without a big ol' grin.

I decided I would like to try and draw something manga like. And ta-da, it's one of my favorite drawings ever.

Last April, I took this picture to document my weight loss. I'd lost something like 30 pounds when this picture was taken.

Look at cute little new born me. Aw.

The duckbill platypus face. The best funny face of all time.

This was a play called Twelve Dancing Princesses. The best musical I've ever participated in. That's me in the orange dress and spider web sleeves. I was October. I loved this show.

I never ever will.
