Arrival
Woo hoo! I received my first 'hate comment' today! It was from an anonymous user and everything!
I have to tell you all something. I feel like I've finally arrived as a blogger. I'm legit now. I have creepy little trollers! (Err... troller. Singular.) I'm kind of stoked!
To that anonymous little muffin who said this:
I have a few things to reply. Since you were anonymous and I can't thank you in a private letter, I thought I would dedicate a post to you.
First off. I would just like to express my gratitude. Thank you for making me feel like I'm finally a blogger. I know I will be able to consider myself as a true blogger now and forever. And I have you to thank.
And second. Because you're anonymous, I have no idea if you have a blog. But if you do, you've probably noticed that I have a bunch of lovely friends that read mine. Don't be jealous. I have one tip for you.
Shortening your words and not capitalizing your sentences is lame and you are a loser!!!!
I hope that is constructive and helpful to you.
In closing, you're probably hoping that comment hurt me because you have some strange insecurity that you hide by anonymously hating on people's blogs. Did it hurt me?
"ur" is shorter than "your" so I'll say "no" because it's shorter than "yes."
Have a nice day all.

...Random notes...
Uintah Utes Football,
GO TEAM! You did so well at Homecoming last night. Way to kick some Union butt! You need to work on defense though. Seriously.
You made me proud.
Katie
P.S. You need to inspire the rest of the extracurriculars to be awesome too. Drill team has 9 girls. What's up with that?
Dear Family Pictures,
Why do you always cause me so much stress?
Bah.
Body:
Stop getting tired. It's your own fault you wake up too early. Cut it out or stop complaining.
So there.
To my blog,
I love you. Thanks for looking so cute. I worried that you wouldn't, but I really love how you turned out. You're beautiful and fun.
Signed,
The Writer
Dear Grandma,
I love you so so much. I'm so happy that you're a part of my life and that I get to spend time with you. You're such an amazing woman. I'm so thankful to you for starting our wonderful family.
I love you.
I love you.
Employers.
Have you all made a pact to not hire me? Because I'm really tired of feeling like a useless failure. How about someone quits the "Don't Hire Katie" club? That would be nice. Much appreciation.
Bed.
You are like a siren that is calling me. Maybe I'll just curl up on top of you and never leave. For some reason, I don't think either of us will mind. We'll make it a party and invite pillows and quilt to join us. Things just wouldn't be the same without them.
Much love.

Hard Hats Needed
Simply Kate is undergoing some construction. I'm mostly finished, I think.
I can't tell if everything is too blue. Part of me says yes, the other part likes it a lot. What do you guys think? I'm interested in your opinions and tips.
I'm going to let it sit for a few days to give me a few days to see what I think.
Here's the before shot if you haven't been here in a while.
Let me know what you think!
I just found out that my adorable header only works if you have the font on your computer. It's free, and adorable. It's called "The Bends". Here is a link to download it and so many other adorable free fonts.

About Kate
I am a daughter. A sister. A friend.
I grew up in a small town in Utah. I lived in the same house, in the same neighborhood until I was 18. As I grew, the town grew too, and I've loved watching all the changes in both of us. I moved away for a short amount of time, but I'm back. I feel connected to this town and don't know if I ever want to leave it for long.
An author. A director. A musician.
Me. Myself. I.

I moved away for a short amount of time, but I'm back. I feel connected to this town and don't know if I ever want to leave it for long.
From a young age I've been interested in fairy tales and writing. While I'm still waiting for my very own fairy tale to start, I write all the time. This blog is my biggest writing outlet. I've also written a novel, and am in the process of plotting my second. I suppose until my very own, real life fairy tale begins, I will settle for writing some fairy tales for the characters in my head.
I love to sing and be on stage. The spotlight is my friend. Some shows I've been in:
The Wizard of Oz
A Midsummer Night's Dream
12 Dancing Princesses
The Curious Savage
Annie
7 Brides For 7 Brothers
My blog is about my life. My thoughts. My ideas. My impressions.
It is just like the title says: Simply Kate. It's simply me.
