I'm It!

Like little kiddies on the playground, I am in a game of tag! But because we're not spry little children, we're bloggers who are glued to the computer, this is how it works.
I was tagged by the lovely Jess @ It Is A Big Deal, It Is To Me! She's adorable. I heart her!
Before I can pass the tag along, I have to answer 8 questions. Questions, prepare to be answered!
1. If you could spend an entire day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you do?
I would spend the day with J.R.R. Tolkien. I would ask him about the most amazing fantasy world ever and kick his butt at Lord of the Rings trivia. Cause I'm the best.
2. If you could only listen to ONE song for the rest of your life, which song would it be and why?
The Song That Never Ends. If I'm only going to listen to one song for my whole life, it's going to get old. I might as well pick a song that already annoys me. And Lambchop is cute. I won't have friends because they'll hate my music choice. So, I could kick it with an old singing sock for the rest of my life.
3. What did you want to be when you a child?
I wanted to be an artist. Painting is messy. Where is bad?
4. If you were a yogurt parfait, would you leave the fruit at the bottom of the cup, or would you stir it all together?
I would stir it up. It may be less attractive. The creamy white yogurt is now an unpleasant blue pasty color and it's lumpy from the granola; but it's a perfect mixture of flavor. While unmixed yogurt looks perfect and pretty, no one wants to eat boring plain yogurt.
5. What TV Show do you wish was still on the air?
Friends! What else?! We could see how Chandler handled having twins. I can just imagine the hilarity! It would be genius!
6. If you could spend a weekend in New Orleans with Jess, would you?
Of course! I've never been to Louisiana! But if I come for Mardi Gras, as much as I love the bead necklaces, I'm not showing the sisters to anyone!
7. Do you think Ross and Rachel made a good couple?
Yes. He was whiny. She was whiny. They were perfect for each other. I mean, he's her lobster! (And also because it was so funny to watch them break up.)
8. You rub a lamp and a genie (voiced by Robin Williams) pops out and grants you three wishes. The same rules apply as in Aladdin. What do you wish for?
1. I wish that I would never gain weight and be able to eat whatever I want!
2. I wish for an instant teleportation device to take me anywhere in the world at any time.
3. I wish that I would never have to take a shower and never smell or look dirty.

Why on earth would you ruin my beautiful medley of Imogen Heap, Coldplay, Ingrid Michaelson, OneRepublic, Regina Spektor and Barcelona and mess it up with Evanescence and Nickleback? I do not understand how you think. Silly internet radio.
Please fix this. I'm in the mood of lovely softer tunes tonight.

How is it that I read all 223 new blog posts (yeah, I'm obsessed with reading blogs!) and with a sense of accomplishment, go to sleep for the night. But when I wake up the next morning, I already have another 100 blogs to read? *Sigh* The life of an obsessive blogger.

Thank you for bringing me wonderful shows like Chuck and Glee. I appreciate funny things to watch. I love how much I smile and laugh. Joy is a good thing.

I thought you were a pretty good book for a while. You don't have chapters which has bugged me to no end, but I looked past it. However, and I NEVER thought I would say this but... Bring back the vampire! (Don't judge me.) I don't want to give up on you yet. Please move the story along now or I might be forced to find a new book to read. I don't want to do that to you.

Crazy Day

Today has been a whirlwind crazy day. And I've only been awake for 5 hours. Let's recap.
11:30 AM: I'm half asleep in bed, my mind on the verge of waking up and my body trying to force it to roll over and go back to sleep. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and I groan to myself. Being one of the only three things in the basement worth anyone coming down for, someone was probably going to knock on my door in a moment. I prayed that it was someone to do some laundry, but the sound of knuckles rapping on my door met me. I ignored them. Sometimes they'll just go away. This wasn't one of those time. The door opened.
It was my sister. She handed me a piece of paper with my aunt's name and phone number on it. She explained that my aunt had been offered a child care job (I love working with kids) but had turned it down and thought I might be interested. I was up in an instant and called her back and got the information.
1:00 PM: By this time, I had called my aunt, gotten the information, called the office and had set up an interview for 3:30. Yes. Two and a half hours. I fixed up my resume, organized my small portfolio, and tried on multiple outfits. As time went on, I got more and more nervous. I hurt because I was so nervous. I shaved my legs, fixed my makeup and hair.
3:00 PM: I ran out of things to do. I was freaking out. I haven't had an interview in months and really wanted this job. It sounded perfect for me.
3:30 PM: I'm sitting down from a very friendly woman. She was so easy to talk to, and the interview went well. She showed me around the building. I was very prepared to act like this guy until they gave me the job!
3:55 PM: Just enough time to stop at Sonic which is down the street to get a Happy Hour (half off) Raspberry Limeade. Mmm.
4:00 PM: Hugged my dad in the street as I said these words: "I start tomorrow at 8:30!"
That's right folks! I'm no longer unemployed! I woke up this morning with no leads, no prospects, no job. And within 5 hours, I am a working gal! (But I have plenty of time to blog. It's only 9 hours a week.)
Remember to enter my GIVEAWAY! Only a few more days left!

Hey Katie. It's you. Well... it's me. It's us. It's Katie from the future. I can see that you don't understand.
It's me, Katie from the future and I am here to give a warning to you, Katie in the past. You are about to go to sleep. It is Saturday night for you. Here is what you need to do tomorrow. Listen carefully.
When the alarm goes off Sunday morning, get up. I know that your head is dizzy, your throat hurts, and you can't breathe. This is just the remnants of your cold. These symptoms are going to pass in about an hour. If you get up and shower, you will be fine. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT just roll over and go back to sleep. You should go to church.
If you get up now, you will also save yourself from some really awful, crazy weird dreams. Trust me. You don't want to experience the madness.
I know you don't realize it now, but it's is our ward's Linger Longer. You know how amazing they are. Once you realize this, it is already too late. You will be sorry that you didn't go.
Next, you'll play more Zelda with Kevin. You'll play through Lord Jabu Jabu's Belly. We both know it's our least favorite Temple. Why? Because you hate the boss. He haunts your nightmares.
You'll also get a few other things accomplished in the game. But you'll make a mistake. You have two options.
- Don't jump off the platform. Climb the vines.
- If you do jump off the platform, SAVE THE GAME before restarting the console! You will have to go through all of the Jabu Jabu nonsense AGAIN. SAVE. THE. GAME! Trust me.
Just remember these things tomorrow. I suppose if you don't, the day is still a pretty good one. But I recommend following my advice. Good day to you.
