Life Was Simpler

Tonight was a rough one. I don't want to get into all of the details right now since I've got other plans for this post. And I'm sure I'll write about it later when it's more relevant.

So, in an attempt to distract my mind, I was looking through the pictures in an old box I found while watching K-Stew stutter like her mouth is riding a jackhammer. (I really don't know why I own this movie. I don't like it. Maybe if I could remember how awful I find Twilight, I would forget how much today sucked?)

So, while looking through pictures; I came across this one.

Yes. I'm that adorableness in the panties and one shoe.

It made me laugh and I just had to share it with all of you.

I've come to a conclusion about this picture: Life was simpler when I was little.

Here's why:

1. I didn't have to worry about my outfit being perfect. There was no one to impress. Everyone in my life already loved me.
2. Who cared if my hair was crazy? I was still cute!
3. Clothes were always cute. There weren't curves to fit clothes to.
4. It was considered adorable when I showed off my chubby thighs. (And princess panties were in style too.)

So I've decided that while it's not okay to dress THIS extreme in the future, but maybe I should let my life be a little more simple.

(Also, this movie is really terrible. It's hilarious! It's definitely cheered me up!)

Life was simpler. You had your parents to worry about things and you could sleep securely in the back seat.

Hilarious. I completely dislike her. So much.

You're right, life was so much simpler back then. I watch my girls now and hope they will take time to enjoy being kids....not likely though.

Yes, life was simpler then, but think about all the wonderful moments in your life you have yet to experience! Growing up is riddled with complications and heart-break, but you have to trust it's worth it.

Oh, and you were adorable but now you're a stunning woman.

I agree, though, keeping life simple is a good way of getting back to the things that are important to you.

Final thought: I don't hate K-Stew because I have only seen one movie with her in it - Panic Room. :) From what I hear, though, I wouldn't love her if I saw her more recent films.

Are you trying to tell me that princess panties are not in style anymore?!?!?!?! wtf.

Ya life was simpler, i agree. But you have to embrace it all right? That's what everyone says at least. Hope you feel better! :))

Have to agree, you're spot on, childhood really is a time when things are a lot simpler. Saying that you could probably have got a job dressed like that even so young. With the odd socks, jazzy hat and shades you could have been an extra in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!

You had a lot of style for such a tiny tot. I like the red and white socks, so chic :) I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Lady Gaga in that ensemble!

Those shades make the look. :)

Yes, life truly was simpler in those days. I almost feel a longing for them.

I'm so happy that you understand - Twilight is a comedy. One of the best, if you ask me. :)

I think the reason that those of us who know Twilight sucks own the movie is to be able to continuously remind ourselves of said suckage and why we never jumped on that bandwagon.

Cute picture :) I love looking through pictures of when I was actually cute! haha
