Cooking with Katie and Kevin

Kevin and I spent a LOT of time in the kitchen while he was here. I've never had that much fun cooking.

We made chicken fajitas:

They were absolutely delicious.

We made pancakes from scratch and topped them with strawberries, whipped cream and maple syrup.

Pretty much the best thing ever. Nothing says breakfast like lots of sugar.

Butter beer.

Yes. Like from Harry Potter.

Kevin had made it before and wanted me to try it. It's SO tasty but extremely sugary.

Awesome Lasagna!

We made this (plus garlic bread and salad) for my sister and his parents. So yummy. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the final product. The company arrived and I totally spaced it.

I'm thinking about writing the recipes for these dishes in their own posts. Four recipes in one post would have been too much though.

If you would like to hear the recipes for any of these, please tell me in the comments and I'll be sure to make a post! Just so you know, they are all AMAZING!

I can't wait until Kevin is here again so we can make a bunch of other tasty foods!

How do you make Butter Beer????

Kevin said...

Well, Emmy, if you're curious - Mugglenet.com has a variety of recipes on their website on how to make it. It's not EXACTLY made the same way that they make it at the Harry Potter theme park, but they sure seem close!

If you'd also like, I have a post for the recipe on my blog. Look for a post way back at the beginning of October. Like Katie said, it's amazingly good, but EXTREMELY high in sugar content.

I never had this much fun cooking with anyone, Katie. :) I can't wait to do it again!

I think you should totally post the recipe for the butter beer.. is there alcohol or can we add some?

Some recipes call for using rum extract instead of vanilla extract, so yeah, you can add alcohol to it if you please.

Yes, Katie please post the recipes! Looks delish :)
